Complementary Colors

So there are three basic ways to match obi and kimono: 1) pick the color with the smallest area from the kimono for the obi , 2) pick a colors of the same color family, 3) match complementary colors. Most cheap obis I can get my hands on come in pretty standard colors (red, black) so I couldn't help buying this second hand turquoise obi (even though it has moth holes in it and is kinda short) I found in Nikko. Now I want an orange-ish summer obi to match my summer kimonos that are blue. (Taiko is kinda smushed from sitting in a chair at a 5 hour dinner party.)
