Yukata Project 5: 戸惑う Discouraging news

えりの左側をもう一回直しました。そして、はおってみました...なんか、前幅が狭い過ぎて、柄あわせがばらばらで...これ本当に着て外出できるかなと ちょっと気を落とした。まあ、いい勉強できた!きものは細い縞のやつから作ってみよう!このぼかしはむずかしい。くけたところも見えるし、結局大きい柄な のでぼかしたところの配布も考えなければならない。で、ぜんぜんそこまで考えませんでした。寸法が合わないのはなぜ? ;_;
So I had to take apart the left side of the collar and attach it a 3rd time.
Then I tried putting it on... and the result doesn't not look good. The maehaba (width of the front panel of the skirt) is too narrow and the garaawase (way the pattern matches up) looks really weird. Why oh why? Maybe it will be too embarrassing to wear in public... boo hoo hoo... I have told too many people I am working on this project... I have learned my lesson! You should start by sewing kimono with narrow stripes!
